The weekend

FRIDAY!

Yeah, I usualy don´t consider friday a part of the week end, but something.....not really interesting, but better than usual...... happened that day, so I´m pretending it´s part of the week end.

We had classes....

The morning class, some one came around with a chart for a marange dance class that night......I saw Alba Rojo on the chart (Thats Dawns name in Venezuela) So I though ´why not?´ Yeah, surprizingly, I can be stupider then usual some times........

So, after the afternoon class, Me Andy and Dawn (Yes, I don´t mind having bad grammer)

Went to the Marange class......I learned an importaint lesson that day.... Try not to do Marange ever again.

The beginning was funish, we did warm ups, while waiting for Andys class to finish playing swimming (He taught the class that in spanish for an assignment)) Then we got to dancing, it wasn´t bad really, but there are deffinitly better things for me......

SATURDAY

The day was boring, I think I was on the computer most of it......... But the night......

We went to a comidy play....wow....There were some things that as Dawn says ´wouldn´t fly in amarica´

It was pretty good....well....it WOULD have been most likely had I understood anything......

When I watch cartoons in spanish, it`s really easy to just tune out the spanish and understand exactly whats going on by the pictuers. Plus, its normal talking so I don´t have a problem understanding the key words, PLUS The writting is in english so I can read that.

But with this play.....There were many accsents whitch made it harder. Unless I focussed really hard I couldn´t get it, and when you sit for two and ahalf hours it´s hard to focus really hard the whole time.

I felt like I was five again and sitting through on of Andy and Dawns meetings....
But at least there I had poke´mon cards to play with and stuff....

I did try too. And I did pretty well for the first 15 (or 5) minutes, i understood about half of what was being said, but for the rest of the thing my thought were basicly like this

Cool! I heard that person say Claro! ......Focus.......yo soy un Mona.....I like pineapple.....I wonder whats Gonna happen with my and Tawnys pets.....Ok, that guy said Corason....Yo Fui un mona y ahora yo soy un pato.......Pinapple......Whys every one laughing?

Yup, something like that........

Days lesson: BIG CULTURE DIFFRENCE!

SUNDAY (Today)

We went to the Zoo, but I now call it, the torture center.

The bus ride there was shorter than last time we went to the zoo, when it was closed probably due to all the traffic last time........

We got there and I didn´t like it the second I stepped in it, actually.... i didn´t really like it before I stepped in it........

So I filed a complaint (to Andy) and he gave me the keys so I could go back to the Centro. I went back and I was thinking the whole time that this was a stupid idea and I was gonna die.

When I got on the bus back I figured there was nothing I could do now so I enjoyed it.

I got to the spot where you see the meaning of the erth and was surrprised it had changed from: Jnete 0412, to; Freia 412 (Not sure if thats exactly right, I know, I should be ashamed for forgetting the meaning of the world......)

Then we got to the centro and i wasn´t shure if it was the centro or a look alike, but then we passed the Iowa Instatute and I was pretty sure it was....Nothing else interesting happened....I walked to diffrent internet cafés but they all were closed, then I just went back to the posada.....

Venezuela

(Creative title, eh?)

Yeah, so I really like venezuela it´s really beautifull and the people (just in general) are really nice. Like, I am terrable at unlocking dorrs with keys, not to mention that the dorr we have is weird.....yeah, so I was trying to unlock it and some random guy saw me. And five minutes later he came out and saw I was still trying, so he came up to me and said something in spanish, so I told him I didn´t speack much spanish and so he went to the door next to me and rang the bell and the person came out and helped me. For some reason I imagine in the USA someone seeing me working getting in a door for more than three minutes and calling the police thinking I´m trying to breack in.....

Yeah. So I might just like Venezuela so much since I´m in a good mood. not sure why, whitch is the best, the only time it ever happened before when I was in Caracass roaming around the half closed mall and finding weird turns when ever I think I´ve seen the whole thing.

Oh, of corse I like Pineapple more then Venezuela, but still!

Dawn and I wanna stay in marida longer instead of going to Caracas so we can get to Level 6 in spanish. But andy says he´s sick of spanish....

I am doing my best to take pictuers of the red pineapple but we don´t bring the camera with up were ever we go anymore

Nothing else really.....

Umm...

Before I perfered working in the book for spanish class, but now I just like talking, I find it easyer to learn that way. Though i´m usualy onlly good at taling on tusdays, I´m trying to expand my horizens.....

Volver en un parapente.

We went paragliding yesterday, it was fun, dawn got seasic....airsick and I got a headach moving my neck to look at all the diffrent things....ok I´m starting to sound like Dawn now, gotta change things up.

Andy didn´t go but he wouldn´t of liked it, you had to jump off a moubntain. That part was cool but it didn´t fill my want to do bunjeer jumping, Dawn said I could but she doesnt want to.

Of corse when you think about it it´s stupid, getting thrill from jumping off something, But I like stupid things. like shoes.......

I´m starting to think in spanish and forget english, it gives me a headach but that also might be becasue I´m hungry......

Thius is longer then I thought it would be, I wasn´t even gonna write an entry, I a, so sick of this blog.

Bye, chow, bojor....wait....

BANANA WILL RULE THE WORLD THIS TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Along with sample and ace...and *sigh* Pickles *Looks at Tawnys dagger*

OREOS!

Dawn told me to say about the oreos:

In venezuela the oreos are odd....like brown, not black, and they taste more bready, Dawn refers to them as ´the fake oreos´ but when you think abouit it a venezuelan would say the black ones were fake.....but I think every one likes the black ones better becasue at all the paderias they sell out REALLY QUICKLY!

I also rememberd something really (well.....) interesting to say.

THIS IS THE PINEAPPLE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD!

I mean, Marida had RED pineapples, how cool is THAT?!? They also have really weird shaped ones and ones with extra steams, or heads or something. Yup, marida is awesome, not to mention I havn´t seen one single paperclip here.
We´re going paragliding on saturday, but Andys not going, why?......Dawn just said Andy IS going. Ok, so forget everything I said...ever.

Spanish class is fun.

I REALLY had something interesting *cough* to say, but I forgot it. Ah well.

moojir

Spanish class started on monday, I played hookey untill four when I went to class *cough* of corse classes STARTED at four that day(though I wish it started at two because its so wierd having class 4-6), but thats besides the point......and the point is VERY dull inded. Dosn´t even have one, right icelosa, ice cream or whatever your name is?

I have two new teachers for level two. Actually, there both andys teachers he got last week, just his afternoon teacher was in the morning for me, and so on.

Today we came to class early, to talk to all the students, in spanish. It was nice because I realised how far I came, I mean I actually rememberd stuff!.....besideds arból but thats besides the *sigh* DULL point.

Pineapple Piña, anana (whitch is my favorite because it sounds like it´s related to banana who was supposed to rule the world on october 37th but things came up)

I learned in my spanish class that moo is actually moojir, sorry all mooing fans. (AKA cows)

A long long time ago in a galaxy far far away

Thats what rochester feels to me, every thing about it besides my freind since I talk to Tawny and Ice cream a lot.

We went on the Telefarico, I thionk it´s the longist in the world.
There were three stops.

number one was univentfull, boring.

Two...Same.

Number three was univentfull but interesting, they had mule rides, Andy and Dawn said they were feeling the altatude diffrence, I didn´t really feel anything, Dawn said it was because I don´t really know my feelings, but I think I´d know if I was feeling out of it.

Then there was the top.

Wow. I threw my first snowball of the year. Two. One at Dawn and One at Andy.
I felt the altatude diffrence a little there, unless I ran. Then I didn´t really feel anything.

Then we went back to the third stop.......wow..... Dawn SPONTANIOUSLY decided to go on an adventure.

We went horse back riding again....well....I went hoprseback riding. Andy and Dawn went mule back riding.

I felt bad for my horse. It wasn´t fit more the kind of hiking it did. Horses more like foristy kind of stuff, this was sheer rock pretty much.

The ride was.....odd....Andy and I ended up walking a bit. I got back on when I figured it would be easier for the horse, since it was a dirt path and not sheer rock.

When we got there after for hours of....tortureish fun.

we ran into more people and went to a posada with them.

The posada haaddddd......... baby chicks a 22 day old puppy, a kitten. Babby bunnies that took almost half an hour to catch, AND babby pigs, and a bull.

And more That I probably am forgetting.

moo

mooir

Then we went back on a jeep, on a sheer rock clif with about a foot from the edge, and we had to pass other jeeps many times. I almost died about 3 times on that ride. Once I was uncomfortable so I tryed moving my leg to a more comfortable posistion witch made me off balance so I fell of my seat.

the ride was about four hours.

yes I really DID almost die only 3 times.

Then we got back.....yay.....

Thanks Mora for posting a comment, I was really nicely surprised.

HOMESCHOOLER HANGS SELF WITH BAG!

Yeah, that´s going to be the next news paper heading, but it´ll be in spanish.
I almost did to, I didn´t mean to, it wasn´t really a backpack it was a weird strap bag and it was to big so I tried to wrap the strap around itself twice and it the pocess got it tangled aroung my head and happened to have my hat on.
If I ever go to school, the first lesson I´ll take is how to carry a bag without diying.
Spanish started. I got level one, Dawn got level 2 and Andy got level three.
The guy who gave us the levels was telling me something about school and I had no idea what he ment o jhe said it in english and I still had no clue what he ment, guess I should take English lessons as well.

We went horse back rideing on sunday, the walk up to the place was incredable, but Dawn didn´t think so..... it was a lonnnngggg way up, A quarter of then way up Dawn stopped and called to us ´I´m staying here!´ when we didn´t stop she called ´I could out yoga you!´ it was funny, it semmed like something straght from a chezy comady movie.
We made it up, Andy having to push Dawn the last huge hill we went up.
Then we gpt to the horses. We we´re going to go with 4 other people, but something weird happened and there 7 year old kid fainted from the sun and nowt having breckfast.
So Andy felt bad and decided to go. It´s funny how things like this just ´happen.´

The ride was fun and Dawn was actually able to controle her horse (until after lunch)
I will never be able to go to a horse back rideing trail or park or something in the usa and call it fun, it´s nice here because no one´s worryed about law suits if someone got hurt, in the usa there was that famus case of someone getting burnt from coffie and sueing them, Dawn told me that the person won too.

We didn´t even have to wear helmets, which makes sence to me because if you fall off a mountain a helmet pobably wont help to much..... My horse was called la mama for short and her full name was Pachamama after the indian goddes.

So the ride was about three and a half hours, we stopped for lunch in a beautifull vally, there was an annoyingish funnyish wild horse there that stood 3 inches away from me. After lunch Dawn got scared for her life, being able to see the steep .....downness...... that we were going. Her horse (cacow, in english, coco) senced her fear and took advantige of it and kept stopping to eat, making Dawn more nervous.
She ended up getting off, letting cacow win the war, and ended up getting on again because the toar guide said that it wasn´t to steep anymore.

My horse tride to follow Cacows excample but I wouldn´t let it *cackle.*

probably have something else to say but cant think of it.

Tiny Tawny

(¿happy?)

Ok, so the good comes with the bad really, and the bad comes with the good. I dealeated my blog, but that gave me a chance to start over from what we have been doing in Caracas until Marida.

We left Caracas and went to Valencia, I liked it at first sight, witch is were I made a therory, the first sight is almost always wrong, Valencia had really cool buildings, but nothing else was cool about it, as Andy put it, it was ´divey.´

Nothing interesting happened there, Trinchares was awesome though, there were hot springs and it was in a foresty area. And there were monkeys, we got the monkeys bananas but the liked the chips better.
We met a famaly and went to the beach with them, their kid liked harry potter and we had fun quzzing each other on it, though we stuck to the movies because he hadn´t read the books.

Yes, I KNOW I´m breazing through this, writing what I did is very boring.

then we went to Tucacas, I´d say what it means but I think Dawn already did. Andy said they didn´t mean to name it that, they named it after a word in a diffrent languige, like how they name things ´senica´ in usa. Tucacas was fun, we went to the beach, we got real sun burnt though, but going to the beach was like a vacation, and it´s not really a vacation without getting sunburnt, right?

Then we went to Adicora (Andy told me this was the order of the places that we went to, but I´m like 87% sure we went to Adicora AFTER Coro) Nothing to interesting happened there, we were going to go wind surfing, but we didn´t because it was a three day corse and we only wanted to sat for 2 days.
Then we went to Coro for Cristmas, I got a stuffed dog that I named after the city, I later learned Coro meant wind in the launguge that the people that lived there used to speak, they named it that because it was windy. Odd reason, yeah.
Thats were we met two nice Germans that thaught us the card game swimming.

Then we went to Seara sanluese and had to walk up a huge hill WITH our packs on, it at least gave me a chance to make up a story about the wind dragon on the peace flags.
Then we found a pasada and left our packs there and hiked through a national park, it wasn´t really like a national park though, it seemed more like a plantain park. We passed three mules carrying plantain leaves on our way up and Down.
That night there was a guy who knew maigic, there was this cool match stick trick, a gool straw trick, and a few puzzles I had to get undone, I got all of them done except this weird butten one that I worked for hours but could only get the string tangled. I would like to take this moment to point out that Hudini was a master at excaping from things, so I did NOT have anything to do with Hudini by undoing the puzzles.
The thing I liked most about the guy that showed us every thing was that he did not follow the ´magicions never tell their secrets´ rule. It was nice knowing how someone did something for once.
There was an amazing tree there, Andy put a photo of it on Flikr. It was nice, and 300yrs.

Then we walked down and got a car to Coro where we got a bus to Maracibo.

Wow....Maracobe... It wasn´t really hot there even though it was suppiosed to be the hottest city. Thats where they had those weird car things, they weren´t really go carts, and not really racing cars (though every one used them like it) but they were cool.
Our hotel was horrable the ONLY one were I couldn´t do my pushups, even is Valencia witch was bad I just washed my hands really well afterwards.

So, since it was so bad Dawn wanted to ´turn our pumpken into a carrige´ as she said. So we went to a weird resturant were we spun (it was the authers choice in The Lonly Planet) Andy and Dawn said the spinning made them feel odd, but for me, as long as I knew what part we were in all the time, I was fine. In The Lonly Plantet, it said that it took 2 hours for the .....spinningness? to make one round, but we were there an hour and a half about and it made one full spin plus about 5 or 10 feet.

Then we went top Marida on a night bus (hehe. It did NOT go 100 feet every 1 minute.....) Andy said that it would be there at about 7 or 6 but it got in at about 5.

Marida has been sort of uneventfull, we ran into one of the Germans, yeah, I feel bad about saying ´germans´ but I also feel bad about putting peoples names in the internet, so it´s a toss up. The other german had gone home.

Nothing else *gasp*

Okkkkkkkk fine, this blog is dedacated to Tiny Tawny who put a gun to my head to dedacate to to her.......

New blog

So, I sorta kinda deleated my old blog, that is another reason I need to know spanish, I though it said save changes.......

But really, spanish IS easier than english, I mean, I´m 12 and I STILL havent figured out the whole vowel thing, in spanish there´s one way, at the most, to say a vowel. and theres not.....not, I mean, all you say is no, not not or some other wierd thing. and of corse the spanish words are so much cooler then enghish (besideds pineapple of corse)like Fresa to so mush cooler then strawberry, and desculpe is so much more fun to say then excuse me. Of corse there IS the whole odd thing with reguler and irreguler verbss and the whole femulin masculin thing, but 3/5 isn´t bad.

Nothing else really to say, I mean I forgot what I wanted to say about our trip to Marida and stuff, and nothing exciting is happening IN Marida.....I saw cacharro´s they were really cute, they reminded me of when we first brought Sample home and Faithful thought she was a huge rat...Dawn said no.....but the one that was my favoritish was this funny one that just sat there, nothing could excite it, it took life to seriously. It was funny.
Later I saw a person carying one of the puppies I saw.
I also went to the zooligico, but it was closed, I did see a camel though.

.....nothing else I can think of....yes I know I dont think in general, but thats just an excpression....

This entry is dedecated to Auden, whom Ben SAID was going to wright but nooooooooo.
